JOB TITLE:   

Director, Law School Career Services

JOB PURPOSE:   

Manage the career services department and process for the College of Law, assisting with development of job prospects and recruiting for the program

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

All  aspects of career services and placement for the College of Law, including but not limited to: managing the College's professional development and career services activities; counseling students related to career services and professional development; building and nurturing relationships with a wide range of current and prospective employers; cultivating and developing new placement opportunities; providing education and information to students on diverse topics related to career development; implementing and maintaining effective data collection, analysis and reporting mechanisms to enable the College to gauge its Career Services effectiveness; assisting the College with its reporting obligations; assisting in the College's marketing efforts related to the College and Career Services; and working collaboratively with other offices and personnel at the College of Law and University; helping maintain the College's website related to Career Services. The foregoing is intended to describe the general nature and level of work to be performed; but is not exhaustive of all associated responsibilities. 

REMOTE WORK ELIGIBILITY: 

This position provides vital support to campus customers and requires the successful candidate be available to work on campus.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  

• Bachelors in degree and 5 years of experience working in a professional legal setting or career counseling environment.
• Valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record (MVR) that is compliant with the University Vehicle Use Policy.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:  

Juris Doctorate (JD) preferred
