Cardiology Supervisor jobs in Idaho

Cardiology Supervisor supervises daily operations within the cardiology department. Monitors the work of staff members and ensures quality of tests, procedures, and other aspects of patient care. Being a Cardiology Supervisor typically requires a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Additionally, Cardiology Supervisor may require licensure or certification in an area of specialty. The Cardiology Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes.     St. Luke’s Health System in Boise is seeking a Supervisor Nursing to join our Idaho Cardiology Associates Clinic team.

     

    At St. Luke’s Clinic – Idaho Cardiology Associates, the team has over 150 years of combined experience in the treatment of heart disease and offers you comprehensive cardiovascular care. Clinic services include electrophysiology and arrhythmia exams and consultations, stress tests, and nuclear cardiology.

     

    The RN Nursing Supervisor duties consist of administration/supervisory as well as serving as a clinic RN. The supervisor will have direct reports with clinical staff of Medical Assistants and RNs. Duties include creating staff schedules, approving time off request, sick calls, conducting employee evaluations, coaching and HR concerns and more. 

     

     

    Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm

    Responsibilities

    • Provides day-to-day oversight of the unit/department(s) assigned.
    • Provides leadership, guidance, counseling and continuing education to staff. Will select, develop, coach, mentor, and assess performance of staff. Works with staff to promote resolution of conflicts and counsels staff when clinical practice standards are not met.
    • Assists with coordination of schedule to ensure adequate staffing levels.
    • Collaborates with all members of care provision team to share knowledge and plan for optimal outcomes.
    • Serves as administrative authority for the smooth function of all units on assigned shift.
    • Exercises considerable judgment in applying professional knowledge in solving problems within established policies and practices. Serves as expert and resource to staff.
    • Coordinates quality initiatives and process improvements.
    • Assists with budget planning and clinical needs assessments.
    • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

    Qualifications

     

    • Education: Bachelor's of Nursing Degree
    • Experience: 3 years' relevant experience
    • Licenses/Certifications: Current RN licensure from the State of Practice and Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Heart Association or American Red Cross

       

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Previous Cardiology experience in an inpatient/outpatient setting.
    • Nursing leadership experience is ideal.
    • ACLS
