We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cardiology Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with our cardiology physician and healthcare team to provide exceptional care to patients with cardiac conditions.
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests related to cardiology.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians, incorporating evidence-based practice guidelines and patient preferences.
Perform and interpret diagnostic tests such as EKGs, stress tests, echocardiograms, and Holter monitoring.
Provide patient education on cardiac conditions, treatment options, medications, and lifestyle modifications.
Monitor patients’ progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and provide ongoing support and counseling.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and holistic care for patients.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) specializing in Adult-Gerontology or Family Medicine.
Board certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) or Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (AGNP) with a focus on cardiology preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Nurse Practitioner in a cardiology setting.
Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner.
BLS and ACLS certification is required; PALS certification is preferred.
