Cardiac Technician operates heart/lung machines and related laboratory apparatus as well as physiological pressure monitoring systems. Prepares written documentation as required by the profession and the department, regarding individualized treatment plans, evaluation results, and progress reports. Being a Cardiac Technician may require an associate degree or its equivalent. Also may require completion of a certificate in health technology or scientific instrumentation in electrocardiography. Additionally, Cardiac Technician typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Cardiac Technician's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. As a Transcriptionist you will: • Type medical reports from dictated and/or handwritten material; excellent typing skills (proficiently 60 WPM) • Maintain organized personal office supply inventory, equipment maintenance and secretarial duties such as: filing reports, typing inter office memos, and records management • Demonstrate efficient communication between clients (physicians and staff) over numerous mediums such as: answering telephone requests, fax, and/or e-mail • Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office • Have a good knowledge of medical terminology Qualifications include: • High School Diploma or GED required • Knowledge with computer systems, such as MS Office/Word required • Personal Computer to use (cannot be a MAC) • Understands medical terminology • Strong typing skills with accuracy • Can meet productivity and deadlines (in time; 48 jobs and/or 95 minutes) • Ability to correctly type from dictated and/or handwritten material in a timely fashion using an electronic medical record system and internet-based dictation system for a very busy practice • Ability to work independently from home office after training as well as work with others • Ability to process paperwork to supervisor on a daily basis Work Schedule: Remote work, Monday through Friday dayshift. 8-4:30/9-5 Must reside in the DC, Maryland, Virginia area At Adventist HealthCare our job is to care for you.
