Cardiac Catheterization Technologist performs diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations and other related procedures. Inserts small catheters through a needle into the blood vessels and into the heart so that X-rays, angiograms and other recordings can be taken to determine the heart's structure and function. Being a Cardiac Catheterization Technologist assist physicians with patient monitoring during surgery or procedures. Documents evaluation results, progress reports, treatment plans and other data using appropriate formats and systems. Additionally, Cardiac Catheterization Technologist some positions may require additional certifications such as: Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES). Requires an associate degree. Requires Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Requires Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS). Typically requires State License. Typically reports to a manager. Cardiac Catheterization Technologist's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement. 20,000 Sign on Bonus (2 year commitment)
*This position is a new position to help start doing EP cases in our new Cardiac Cath Lab at Hendersonville Medical Center. The new lab is expected to open January 2024. This position will help get the program up and running and helping train new EP staff. Must have prior EP experience and will be trained in Cath Lab if no prior experience. The position will help take some call burden off of the staff until EP staff is trained. Must live within 30 minutes for call.

Electrophysiology Technologist demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment and care of patients served. The EP technologist is able to scrub/assist the physician with scrubbing/assisting during diagnostic/interventional electrophysiology studies and during pacemaker/ICD implantations.
