Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Manager jobs in Hawaii
Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Manager plans and implements the overall policies, procedures, and services of the cardiac catheterization lab. Ensures efficient and effective lab operations, including quality control and compliance with regulations and policies. Being a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Manager supports Cardiologists with service delivery and resources. May be responsible for hiring and training of new employees as well as budgetary control for the lab. Additionally, Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Manager requires a bachelor's degree in nursing. Typically reports to a director. The Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required. Education:
- Associate's degree or higher in Cardiovascular Technology or a related field.
- Certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or equivalent.
Experience:
- Prior experience as a Cath Lab Technologist is preferred.
- Proficiency in operating cath lab equipment and familiarity with catheterization procedures.
Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to new technologies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
Procedure Assistance:
- Assist physicians and healthcare providers during cardiac catheterization procedures, angioplasty, stent placements, and other cardiovascular interventions.
- Prepare and position patients for procedures, ensuring proper monitoring and sterile field maintenance.
Equipment Operation:
- Operate and troubleshoot complex medical equipment, including fluoroscopy, ultrasound, and other specialized devices used in cardiac catheterization procedures.
- Ensure the proper functioning and calibration of equipment before and after procedures.
Patient Care:
- Monitor patients' vital signs and assess their condition before, during, and after procedures.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families regarding the catheterization process and aftercare.
