    • You will ensure all personnel who handle classified information or are assigned sensitive duties are appropriately cleared.
    • You will control and maintain appropriate access to databases (e.b. Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS), Scattered Castle, Gatekeeper, Case Adjudication Tracking System (CATS)) for individual security program management.
    • You will use access control systems to manage classification of materials.
    • You will decide the security clearance level necessary for access to sensitive information, resources, material, or work sites.

    • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.
    • The incumbent will be required to work overtime as needed.

    Qualifications

    Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

    1) Enforcing protective measures for safeguarding information critical to national security; 2) Implementing procedures for marking, safeguarding, dissemination, transmission, transportation, escorting, hand-carry, storage and destruction of classified materials; 3) Ensuring personnel security clearance eligibility is continuously evaluated; 4) Submitting Personnel Security Investigation (PSI) applications through Electronic Questionnaires for Investigative Processing (e-QIP) or official system of record to track investigations to completion and adjudication; and 5) Reporting threats to national security, loss, compromise, electronic spillages, and other violations.

    Have successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.

    Have successfully completed three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree.

    Have successfully completed an LL.M. degree that is related to the position being filled. OR Have a combination of experience and education that equates to one year of experience. Percentage of education plus percentage of experience must equal 100%.
