Coordinates pilot training and development plans to ensure all are ready for flight duty. Additionally, Captain/Pilot in Command (Large Jet) uses the Safety Management System (SMS) to identify, mitigate, and manage risk in operations. May require a bachelor's degree. Requires Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate. Requires FAA Commercial Pilot's License. Typically reports to a director or head of a unit/department. The Captain/Pilot in Command (Large Jet) manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. They are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pilot in Command to join their Aviation Flight Crew team. This is a remote position with competitive compensation ranging from $157,241 to $160,000 per year.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the safety of the aircraft, flight crew, passengers, and cargo
- Comply with all federal regulations and company policies and procedures
- Ensure crew members are properly licensed, rested, and flight ready
- Plan flight assignments and obtain briefing information
- Prepare and file flight plans considering all applicable factors
- Supervise crew members and ensure proper planning and flight preparation
- Ensure aircraft is pre-flighted, loaded, equipped, and manned for the flight assignment
- Supervise loading and distribution of cargo and passengers
- Comply and participate in Safety Management System
- Prepare flight logs, records, and maintenance forms
- Ensure aircraft airworthiness per maintenance release procedures
- Assume role of Inflight Security Coordinator and Ground Security Coordinator
- Stay highly knowledgeable of regulations, flight manuals, and other relevant instructions
Qualifications:- Airline Transport Pilot
- Valid Passport
- FCC RROP
- First Class Medical
- Required Experience:
- 2000 hours total flight time
- 1000 hours Pilot in Command
- 500 hours Jet/Turbine
- 100 hours Instrument
- Preferred Education and Experience:
- 4-year degree
- 3000 hours total flight time
- 1500 hours Pilot in Command
- 1000 hours Jet/Turbine
- LR-JET or LR45 Type Rating
