Capacity Planning Supervisor leads a capacity planning team to plan and monitor an organization's operating limits and capacities. Forecasts and plans capacity requirements to align with production schedules, resource levels, and inventory demand. Being a Capacity Planning Supervisor identifies and troubleshoots production issues or bottlenecks that impact plant capacity. Coordinates with internal stakeholders to understand future plans and develop responsive capacity forecasting. Additionally, Capacity Planning Supervisor utilizes production metrics and manufacturing research to develop insights on processes or equipment and recommend improvements. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Capacity Planning Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Capacity Planning Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. The Manufacturing Forecast Planning Supervisor will have the overall responsibility for managing the planning and establishment of production schedules, monitoring of materials inventories needed for production, tracking progress of production, and review of factors which affect production schedules.
Must effectively collect and communicate information and changes between; Sales, Manufacturing, Purchasing and Senior Management.
This role will also include but is not limited to inventory management functions and related systems information maintenance.
Responsibilities Include :
Manage outside contractor relationships of those related to production.
Manage the establishment and maintenance of production schedules to meet customer demand.
Responsible for creating and maintaining the production schedule in the ERP system and communicating the production schedules to the manufacturing sites.
Manage outside contractor schedules to coordinate supply chain activities to support scheduled production.
Manage, train, and educate direct reports on finite scheduling and current planning, and materials management techniques.
Collaborate with other planners and master scheduler.
Preform analysis and run continuous improvement projects to streamline the process
Cross functional interface with Operations, Plant Supply Chain, Sales / Marketing, Engineering, Commodity Management
Participate in and support the Sales and Operations Planning process.
Track KPIs, inventory turns, finished materials and product availability.

Receiving Discrepancy Resolution
Error Tracking Form Resolution
Dependable and accurate inventory to support build schedule
Coordinate service orders to meet the demand and external customers
Obtain components to support daily manufacturing
Qualifications Include :
Bachelor’s degree :
CPIM, CIRM or CPM
1-5 years’ experience in a planning or forecasting position in a made to order custom environment or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Skills : Advanced level of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
