About the Role: 

The role of Demand Planning Analyst at Kalmbach Feeds is an engaging position that allows an individual to have a real impact on the company’s bottom line. The role requires supply chain management experience and allows the opportunity to interface between Nutrition, Sales, Marketing, Purchasing and Production. The person in this role will support our team of production planners and inventory analysts, define root cause of scheduling constraints and outline process and systems gaps. Serving in this role is an exciting opportunity to be an agent of change in a company that is growing rapidly and focused on our customers.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Analyze gaps in supply and/or internal capacity that are causing service issues and drive actions to improve performance.
• Perform regular analysis to evaluate issues that could arise from changes in the demand plan or supply plan.
• Maintain, update, and build PowerBI reports that drive overall supply chain performance.
• Aid in the development and execution of demand forecasting process
• Define process and / or system gaps effectively optimizing and systematizing with a continuous improvement mindset.

The Right Candidate:

• Strong analytical skills with experience working through complex problems and driving resolution
• Experience working with Microsoft Office products and an ERP system are required.
• PowerBI or equivalent data visualization toolset experience strongly preferred (e.g. Tableau, Qlik).
• Meticulous with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Self-motivated / directed, and can easily function in a high-demand, high-performance culture.
• Ability to quickly learn new systems and tools are a must.
• Advanced critical thinking skills with the ability to work cross functionally to resolve issues.
• Bachelor’s degree, in business or related field with 2 years of experience within supply chain or operations required. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
