Capacity Planning Supervisor leads a capacity planning team to plan and monitor an organization's operating limits and capacities. Forecasts and plans capacity requirements to align with production schedules, resource levels, and inventory demand. Being a Capacity Planning Supervisor identifies and troubleshoots production issues or bottlenecks that impact plant capacity. Coordinates with internal stakeholders to understand future plans and develop responsive capacity forecasting. Additionally, Capacity Planning Supervisor utilizes production metrics and manufacturing research to develop insights on processes or equipment and recommend improvements. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Capacity Planning Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Capacity Planning Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. A Brief Overview
The Capacity Planner would collaborate with Store Managers to ensure accurate schedules by tenure, capacity set correctly by location, Help influence on standards & goals and have a positive impact on the working relationship with the field. Work closely with WFCM to align strategies, workforce allocation at the Store/ District level and drive consistency across each district.
What you will do
1. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
* Partnership with Store Managers on 30-day Capacity/Scheduling strategies and workforce forecast.
* Leading change with positive influence
* Promote a positive work environment that encourages innovation and problem-solving.
2. Capacity Planning:
* Capacity Optimization through accuracy and distributed workforce planning weekly.
* Proactively identifying and allocating workforce to meet business demands.
* Maintain a capacity/scheduling planning framework that aligns with organizational objectives.
* Audit technician tenure monthly for accuracy around capacity and organization guidelines.
* MCM audits on evolving store footprints and capacity fluctuations.
3. Workforce Optimization:
* Scheduling and Resource Allocation to meet business goals, across each Store/District.
* Collaborate with Workforce & Capacity Manager to align on short term staffing demands.
* Execute on delivering 100% technician template accuracy.
* Collaborate with RSQM, WFCM to identify opportunities for optimizing individual capacity standards for technicians.
4. Strategic Planning:
* Collaborate with Director and Workforce & Capacity Managers to align workforce and capacity management strategies.
* Provide recommendations and insights to support District/Store Capacity.
*Performs other duties as assigned
