Capacity Planner plans, measures, and monitors operating limits and capacities of an organization. Forecasts and plans capacity requirements to ensure alignment with department or unit and determine variance from production schedules, resource levels, and inventory demand. Being a Capacity Planner identifies and troubleshoots production issues or bottlenecks that impact plant capacity. Coordinates with internal stakeholders like engineering, sales, and marketing to understand and develop current and forecasted plans. Additionally, Capacity Planner utilizes manufacturing data and reports to drive key insights into efficiency, production rate, and other performance metrics. Produces reports that evaluate plant capacity and identify areas needing improvement. Recommends process and equipment improvements to optimize production capabilities. Requires a bachelor's degree. Position Summary:
This position is responsible for planning and scheduling a variety of work order tasks for electrical technicians on the Valdez Marine Terminal.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
· Ensures the quality of planning to execute projects and maintenance activities safely, effectively, and efficiently.
· Leads collaboration with the Maintenance Supervisor, Site Engineer, Implementation Leads, and Operations to provide technical support for development of work planning at work site.
· Provides technical expertise and knowledge to the maintenance and integrated planning team for work package development.
· Develops bill of materials, submits redline drawings and as-builts, submits materials request, and submits equipment requests.
· Provides technical input for planning and scheduling work activities with an emphasis on simultaneous operations, concurrent work, and resource sharing and identifying other opportunities to increase planning effectiveness.
· Ensures appropriate planning measures are initiated to assess, negotiate, and amend scope of work responsibilities, proposals, contracts, and budgets.
· Directs resolution of project and maintenance activity risks and issues compromising execution and leads development plans and actions to mitigate risks.
· Ensures APSC standardized tools are used for work orders, planning, and scheduling.
· Coordinates and schedules flow of work for Maintenance, Operations, Response and Project activities and establishes priorities.
· Provides maintenance direction and operational support.
· Develops and executes daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance plans and schedule work activities.
· Liaisons with Operations, Planning, Maintenance, Engineering, and Projects to ensure efficient work practices and accomplish Terminal maintenance goals.
· Provides technical assistance and direction to other Coordinators and support staff as well as assist in their training
· Performs complex maintenance coordination and scheduling functions
· Coordinates of the many divergent groups and individuals involved in performing work on TAPS
· Challenges inefficient processes and identify opportunities for improved business effectiveness.
· Supports & implements LPS Stewardship Plan, Pollution Prevention (P2) Program, Operational Discipline, and Valdez Wellness Programs.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (Education, Experience, Professional Associations):
Mandatory Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
o Equivalent experience may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis.
· Two (2) years experience with operations or maintenance in an industrial facility.
· Experience providing technical guidance to lower level staff and to supervisors.
· Advance knowledge of maintenance, operations, oil spill prevention/response standards and function.
· Effective communication skills (written and verbal).
· Current Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
· Successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
Preferred Requirements
· Five (5) years of experience with operations or maintenance in an industrial facility.
· Experience facilitating activities groups in different reporting structures.
· Detail oriented.
· Supervisory experience and responsibilities.
· Knowledge of computerized Maintenance Management Systems or maintenance/scheduling databases and processes such as Oracle EAM.
· Knowledge of and extensive experience in the maintenance workflow processes.
· Able to function as a liaison between operations, maintenance, and other stakeholders.
· Previous TAPS experience.
