Cancer Treatment Center Director (Hosp. Op.) jobs in Lexington, KY

Cancer Treatment Center Director (Hosp. Op.) directs and oversees all activities of the hospital's cancer center. Responsible for developing new programs, outreach activities, and research opportunities. Being a Cancer Treatment Center Director (Hosp. Op.) implements and maintains hospital practices, procedures and objectives. Serves as liaison with all professional, administrative and support staff. Additionally, Cancer Treatment Center Director (Hosp. Op.) creates reports on operation's activities for hospital administration to review. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a top management. The Cancer Treatment Center Director (Hosp. Op.) typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Cancer Treatment Center Director (Hosp.     Description

    Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.

    Qualifications
    Required Licenses
    Registered Nurse
    Current Registered Nurse Licensure to practice in the state of Kentucky OR a Current Registered Nurse Licensure with a multistate compact status.
    Minimum Work Experience
    * One (1) or more years of previous experience in an acute care setting and/or geriatric setting.
    Required Skills/Certifications:
    1. Current American Heart Association BLS Certification (or) obtained within 90 days after hire date.
    Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
    Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
    Language Skills: Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
