SUMMARY:
Oversee all activities within the Security, Surveillance and Access departments as well as monitor all casino related safety activities for compliance to regulations and company policies.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervises staff for their departments, which includes but not limited to: hiring, firing, scheduling, performance appraising and overseeing training. Ensures compliance with company standards and tribal gaming regulations. Be knowledgeable of all casino operations and internal controls. Monitor and ensure compliance with key and lock controls. Investigate and monitor incident and exception reports. Ensure all equipment in the Security and Surveillance departments is serviced and maintained on a regular basis. Recommends barring customers from the casino premises and administers documentation. Develops, maintains and implements policies and procedures for Security, Surveillance and Access. All other duties as assigned by the General Manager. Employee shall comply with all BSA/AML regulations, reporting, and training requirements – Specifically those in the Grand River Casino Written System of Internal Controls (and appendices) for BSA/AML Compliance.
PREREQUISITES:
Must be age 21 or older. Must qualify for a “Key” Standing Rock Tribal Non-Gaming license. Must have 20/20 corrected vision and not be color blind. Must have a valid driver’s license.
EDUCATION:
High school graduate or GED. A.S degree in criminal justice preferred. Appropriate oral and written communication skills. CPR, First Aid, First Responders and EMT training preferred. Must be able to communicate in the primary language used in the workplace.
EXPERIENCE:
Education and/or training in security and surveillance or equivalent experience preferred. 2 years supervisory experience preferred.
PHYSICAL:
Standing and walking for periods of 8 hours or more. Must be able to withstand constant bending and knelling. Carrying and lifting up to 50 pounds regularly, grasping, manual dexterity, and hand-eye coordination.
