Campus Security Director jobs in Michigan
Campus Security Director directs and implements security and safety policies and procedures on campus. Manages the work activities of campus police and patrol units. Being a Campus Security Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a senior institutional officer. The Campus Security Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Campus Security Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Responsibilities of the security specialist include filing log reports, looking for signs of intrusion, investigating disturbances, contacting the police in case of emergency, and operating surveillance systems.
Job Qualifications:
Must pass a criminal Background check. Must have a clean background. Excellent surveillance and observation skills. Experience with conflict resolution. Customer service skills. Education associate degree or equivalent preferred. Proven success in the following job competencies. Strong oral and written communication capabilities. Ability to work with team members, clientele to manage risk and ensure compliance. Ability to deal with and resolve problems in a professional manner. Professional appearance.
Requirements:
* Associates Degree Preferred
* 3 years experience in law enforcement, military, security or related field* Experience in customer service* Experience with multi-video surveillance is a plus* Ability to multi-task
* Valid Driver's License
* Clean Background
* Reliable transportation
Available shifts:3p-11p Wednesday through Sunday11p-7a Friday through TuesdayPLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU CANNOT WORK one of these two 40 HR shifts.
Pay: Starts at $16/hr.
