    The Campus Director of Operations provides leadership, direction, supervision and accountability for Arizona Campus and its programs. The Campus Director of Operations organizes, directs, evaluates, and supervises the campus staff. The Campus Director of Operations provides instructional leadership and develops and implements curriculum and programming for the campus programs.


    QUALIFICATIONS


    Education/Experience:
    Bachelor’s degree preferred or a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in substance abuse, co-occurring and residential treatment business offices and/or human resources, preferably in a health care setting; or any combination of education, training, or experience.


    Additional Requirements:
    Negative TB, Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card per policy. Ability to work occasional flexible hours as requested.

    • Advanced communication, public relations, instruction, curriculum, conflict resolution, multitasking, problem solving, facilitation, management, critical thinking, decision making, and organizational skills.
    • Establishes and maintains a safe, effective learning environment by implementing staff trainings and ARC safety programs which are aligned with ARC policies and procedures.
    • Implements an accountability system through the Arizona Rehab Campus’ accreditation process, aligning instruction with Joint Commission, state, and federal regulations, providing expectations for an orderly atmosphere, holding data discussions with Directors, and adapting to the needs of the current situation by seeking input.
    • Provide support to facility management by managing all personnel issues within corporate policies and procedures and all federal and state guidelines.
    • Oversees program efficiency and required state and federal compliance records. Prepares and generates related reports and documentation of administrative activities.
    • Adhere to facility, department, corporate, personnel and standard policies and procedures.
    • Assist in preparing for TJC surveys.
    • Maintain facility policies and guidelines.
    • Determine how a system should work and how changes in condition, operations and the environment will affect the outcomes.
    • Identifying measures or indicators of system performance and the actions needed to improve or correct performance, relative to the goals of Arizona Rehab Campus.
    • Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
    • Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
    • Demonstrates positive, collaborative leadership and participates in collegial problem solving in a variety of situations and departments, emphasizing teamwork and beneficial effects for Arizona Rehab Campus.
    • Coordinates the development of the campus improvement plans including Arizona Rehab Campus and existing America’s Rehab Campuses in accordance with America’s Rehab Campuses mission.
    • Develops goals and objectives consistent with Arizona Rehab Campus’ goals and objectives.
    • To perform administrative duties such as to provide guidance and support to all employees; to use an ethical decision-making process; to make administrative decisions on behalf of COO; will consult necessary communication with appropriate executive members of staff when questions/decisions are out of scope.
    • Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking the time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
    • Works collaboratively with community members, staff members, and clients to formulate a vision for the ARC Campus.
    • Utilizes the accountability process and involves and reports to COO as appropriate.
    • Organizes campus operations around improvement of instruction by maintaining safe and orderly environments though Arizona Rehab Campus’ Safety Program.
    • Analyzes program facilities, equipment, and materials and makes recommendations for needed changes.
    • Manages campus facilities, develops disaster, safety, crisis, and evacuation plans, and ensures the security of buildings with assistance from the Maintenance Director.
    • Upholds state laws and contracts by maintaining facility logs to provide a quality learning environment, efficiently managing fiscal resources. Supervises the ordering, inventory, and distribution of materials and equipment.
    • Ensures clients, parents, staff, and community are aware of the unique services and programs available through Arizona Rehab campus.
    • Mediation of employee relations when necessary.
    • Hires, supervises, and evaluates campus staff.
    • Ensures adequate and effective staffing to carry out program priorities.
    • Assist facility management regarding employee relations issues, counseling and termination procedures as required.
    • Report all personnel problem issues to the Human Resources Director.
    • Participate in special projects as assigned by the COO.
    • Utilizes the accountability process and involves and reports to COO as appropriate.


    • Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
    • Communicate effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience.
    • Establishes and maintains positive, proactive public relations and clear, consistent communications within the campus, and throughout the surrounding community, including program marketing and outreach. Ensure clarity regarding admission procedures and programming information for all programs.

    • Motivating, developing, and directing employees as they work, identifying the best people for the job.
    • Monitors staff and client success during programing by formal observation and evaluation.
    • Actively looking for ways to improve employee knowledge and skills.
    • Supports staff in curriculum and professional development and in coordinating and implementing trainings.
    • Serves as a key contributor in identifying and implementing services to meet the needs of under achieving staff members.
    • Coordinates, implements, and monitors the effectiveness of a non-traditional instructional schedule that provides both structure and flexibility to meet the individual needs of diverse staff.

    • Maintain confidentiality of facility employees and patient information.

    • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds’ dead weight to move transfer file boxes, data processing paper and newly admitted clients’ belongings.
    • Ability to retrieve files from bottom shelves and drawers and the ability to move boxes of paper and forms to the computer printer (done up to 15 times daily).
    • Ability to reach, turn and twist above and below the waist daily to retrieve files from top shelves to get office supplies from upper shelves in supply closet (done up to 20 times per day).
    • Ability to stand and walk daily to retrieve forms/supplies for other departments.
    • Ability to hear and speak well enough to answer and communicate on the facility switchboard, if required to do so.
    • Ability to handle a variety of repetitive tasks.
