Position Available: Full-Time Police Officer

Education and Experience Required:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent.

2. Iowa Law Enforcement Academy certification within 1 year of appointment.

3. Pass civil service examination, MMPI, physical requirements, polygraph and background check.

Housing requirements: All officers must live within a 30 minute response time once training is completed.

ILEA Certified Officers: $6,000 sign-on bonus

Salary:

• Starting: $27.92/hr. ($60,986.80)
• 1st year: $28.92/hr. ($63,151.83)
• 2nd year: $29.94/hr. ($65,393.72)
• 3rd year: $31.01/hr. ($67,715.20)
• 4th year: $32.11/hr. ($70,119.09)
• 5th year: $33.25/hr. ($72,608.32)
