Camera Operator, Television and Motion Picture operates videotape machines, disk-based file servers, camera control units, studio cameras, video switchers, audio mixers and other equipment used in the broadcast of live and taped television programming. May be expected to maintain a variety of program/transmitter logs. Being a Camera Operator, Television and Motion Picture may require an associate's degree or its equivalent with at least 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Camera Operator, Television and Motion Picture relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. JOB GOAL
To provide an approved educational program for all students; to establish a class environment that fosters learning and personal growth; to help students develop the necessary skills, knowledge, and attitudes needed to provide a strong foundation for continued education; and to maintain professional relationships with parents and other staff members.
QUALIFICATIONS- Valid New Jersey Instructional Certificate in Subject Area Endorsement or Certificate of Eligibility.
- Demonstrated knowledge of subject specialty and effective teaching methods.
- Thorough understanding of the pedagogy and best practices of education.
- The desire to teach high school students and the ability to adapt to their developmental status.
- Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status.
- Works to achieve state core curriculum content standards and district educational goals and objectives by promoting active learning and student skill development. Teaches students through an approved course of study using Board-adopted curricula, textbooks and other appropriate teaching materials.
- Develops lesson plans and instructional materials and provides opportunities for individualized and small group instruction in order to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each student.
- Sets specific objectives wherever possible in lesson preparation, submits weekly lesson plans in electronic format, and carries through presentation design to effectively achieve these objectives.
- Assesses student academic progress and personal growth toward stated objectives of instruction.
- Maintains records of students' educational progress in electronic grade books and summarizes these marks for district reporting purposes in accordance with district procedures.
- Identifies student needs and cooperates with other professional staff members in assessing and resolving learning problems.
- Establishes and maintains standards of student behavior needed to achieve a classroom climate conducive to learning.
- Budgets class time effectively.
- Communicates with parents through conferences and other means to inform them about the school program and to discuss student progress.
- Checks voice mail and email on a daily basis and responds to parental inquiries in a timely manner.
- Devises written and oral assignments, tests, quizzes, and final exams that require analytical and critical thinking as well as the reproduction of facts.
- Supervises students in out-of-classroom activities as assigned.
- Maintains professional competence and continuous improvement through in-service education and other professional growth activities.
- Participates in school-level planning, faculty meetings, department meetings, committees, and other school system groups.
- Participates in curriculum development, review, and revision process as directed.
- Makes effective use of community resources to enhance the instructional program.
- Upholds and enforces school rules, administrative regulations and procedures, and policies of the Board of Education.
- Performs other duties within the scope of his/her employment and certification as may be assigned.
