Camera Operator, Television and Motion Picture operates videotape machines, disk-based file servers, camera control units, studio cameras, video switchers, audio mixers and other equipment used in the broadcast of live and taped television programming. May be expected to maintain a variety of program/transmitter logs. Being a Camera Operator, Television and Motion Picture may require an associate's degree or its equivalent with at least 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Camera Operator, Television and Motion Picture relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. Overview:
DP Production Group has a contract to live stream the Meredith Town Meetings. We are looking to hire a camera operator to be able to run these meetings.
Job Description:
- Meetings take place the 2nd & 4th Monday, 2nd Thursday, and 4th Tuesday of every month. (Example: April Meetings are on 4/8, 4/11, 4/22, & 4/23). Occasionally, additional meetings throughout the month are required. Notice is given.
- Meeting times vary depending on the board. The current times are 4:30pm (x2/month), 6:30pm, & 7:00pm
EQUIPMENT: All equipment is provided. Cameras are permanently mounted and controlled via a control joy stick. Switching between camera feeds are down via a camera switcher.
Day of meeting schedule-
- Arrive 30 minutes before meeting starts
- Turn on laptop, open up streaming program, select which meeting you are streaming, and prepare for the meeting to start.
- Go LIVE within 5 minutes of the meeting beginning.
After the meeting is over, end stream. Close laptop. And power off camera operation rack.
(All this would be covered during training)
Pay Schedule:
- Flat Rate: $100/meeting
- Bi-Weekly (Payroll submitted the week of meetings being covered)
