Job Description:
SUMMARY
Highly analytical and organized personnel to provide professional and qualified in depth knowledge of various medical equipment. Will be responsible for maintaining and updating medical devices/instruments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for updating, calibrating and maintenance on medical analytical instruments.
- Makes decisions to ship equipment for major repairs and maintenance when not performed internally while maintaining accurate inventory and record keeping.
- Responsible for any and all daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly maintenance to medical instruments when required.
- Resolves computer and instrumentation issues.
- Maintain all devices to ensure all aspects of data are current to include software versions.
- Manage excellent logbooks to maintain records of all maintenance that has been done, including LOT numbers, expiration dates, updates, etc.
- Manage safety procedures and regulations, ensuring a safe and clean working environment.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
- Other job duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Associates/Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Proven experience working with various medical equipment and tools.
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in calibration/maintenance/Quality Control and troubleshooting.
- Understand instrumentation procedures and/or detailed parameters.
- Must understand all aspects of troubleshooting and utilization of resources available.
- Must be able to pass a drug and background check.
SPECIAL SKILLS
- Outstanding presentation and analytical skills.
- Must be able to use the following programs expertly:
- Microsoft Windows OS XP Pro
- Microsoft Word
- Excel
- Skilled in operating computers, medical devices/instruments, understanding and implementing various updates to assigned devices.
- Understanding procedures pertaining to the relevant equipment.
- Flexibility in scheduling work hours.
- Must be able to multitask.
