Job description:
Our organization is seeking talented Calibration Technicians to join our growing team. The ideal candidate for this role has experience calibrating instruments and equipment, creating calibration plans, and maintaining calibration records. A successful candidate can prioritize tasks, adhere to company policies, and maintain proper documentation. This is a physically demanding fast-paced environment. The following days and times are available. Four ten-hour days working Wednesday through Sunday on the 1st shift. Also available, we have five eight-hour days working Monday through Friday. Overtime is scheduled on an as-needed basis on Fridays.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Calibration Technician is responsible for ensuring that all equipment is calibrated in a timely manner and meets the quality standards set by the organization. The ideal candidate will have an interest in both the technical and administrative aspects of this position and will be detail-oriented, experienced, and eager to join a growing team. Technicians working in this position must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Some of the duties of the torque technician are (but are not limited to):
- Perform calibration and quality assurance checks on equipment.
- Update calibration records.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment. – Observe and analyze the output of equipment.
- Provide troubleshooting and assistance with online calls.
- Be able to work with instruments and equipment to ensure the proper functioning of measurement systems.
- Cross-train with the calibration department on gauge calibration (ID mics, OD mics, calipers, etc.)
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must have good English written and verbal communication skills.
- Good arithmetic skills are required.
- Mechanical aptitude
- 1 years of Quality Control experience is preferred.
- Working knowledge of measurement instruments: i.e., calipers, OD micrometers, ID micrometers, etc. a plus.
- General proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
