The Pyrometry Technician responsibilities include:

Perform temperature uniformity surveys, instrument calibration, and system accuracy checks as directed.

Prepare furnaces for surveys.

Complete and review pyrometry documentation.

Read and understand Quality Manual and related procedures.

Bring any irregularities, discrepancies or concerns to supervisor immediately.

Practice and promote safety and good housekeeping.

Must be willing to travel to various plants within the region assigned.
We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:
-
This position must satisfy ITAR compliance requirements, therefore candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Resident Card Holder.

High school diploma or equivalent
-
Minimum six months experience in thermal processing. Experience with the GMS, AMS 2750, and customer pyrometry specifications are required.

A minimum of 20 classroom training hours and 80 on-the-job training hours specific to pyrometry. On-the-job experience to be used in lieu of training under certain conditions. A written test is required to demonstrate proficiency.

Must have knowledge by experience or training of basic math, word processing, computer applications including Microsoft Office.
