May require a high school diploma or its equivalent and 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Being a Cabinetmaker and Bench Carpenter is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Additionally, Cabinetmaker and Bench Carpenter performs a variety of tasks. Carpenter Americas has an immediate opening for a Production Trimmer on 3d Shift at our Rochester Hills, MI manufacturing plant. This position is responsible for manufacturing foam products through the process of injection molding.

As a successful candidate, you will be expected to manufacture products utilizing primary and secondary processing equipment or hand assembly. Following all procedures and work instructions, achieve optimal productivity, quality, and safety assuring internal and external customer satisfaction.
Your additional responsibilities as a Production Trimmer will include:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High School Diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervisors and other employees of the organization.
MATHMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s.
REASONING ABILITY Ability to interpret a variety of instructions finished in written, oral, or schedule form.
