SUMMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION: The Systems and Data Integration Specialist works as a member of the IT Development and Integration team with focus on data architecture and automation for systems integrations. They work with campus constituents and vendors to analyze, establish, and document data integration requirements. They design, develop, and test integration processes. The Integration Specialist maintains core operational staging databases, data warehouses, and data marts as needed. They collaborate with other members of CITS to ensure data consistency and integrity, adhering to the University's policies on security and privacy. They align data and business process needs in support of information systems. They actively seek improvements in their daily workflows and processes to improve efficiency. The Systems and Data Integration Specialist provides excellent customer service to our campus community in support of the academic and research mission at UMass Dartmouth.
Follows the University's best practices to build and/or support student academic success and retention and assists in meeting strategic objectives for persistence and timely graduation of all the student population.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in information technology related field
EXPERIENCE:
Demonstrated experience (over three years) analyzing, developing, and maintaining data architectures for information systems and systems integrations.
Demonstrated experience (over three years) with SQL databases and SQL query authoring.
Previous experience (over one year) creating, maintaining, and automating data integration/ETL tasks.
OTHER:
Will need to be available for off-hours, evening and/or weekends as projects dictate.
Some travel may be required.
