    About This Role

    Every position at Common Citizen from seed to sale, is contributing to our mission to serve our fellow citizens of Michigan with the highest quality, safest cannabis product through our highly individualized and education-oriented provisioning centers.

     

    Common Citizen is seeking an experienced Direct Marketing Specialist with a proven track record of improving conversion rates and other email KPIs through optimizing the email conversion funnel and customer journey. You will also manage SMS/MMS and in app push notification campaigns as required.  This position will be on the CRM team and will work closely with the CRM Manager and CRM Analyst.

    This is a highly cross-functional position that requires someone skilled at strategic thinking, test ideation and execution to achieve email marketing objectives and business results. 

    The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills with a proven track of providing data insights and recommendations. You are a self-starter who can work independently to uncover growth opportunities by analyzing email journeys and campaigns. You develop innovative testing ideas and collaborate effectively across teams with strong business cases, clear requirements, and persistence to bring them to life. You are technically savvy with experience in growth techniques, testing methodologies and marketing technologies.

    Responsibilities include but not limited to:

     

    • Collaborate closely with the cross functional team and CRM Manager on the planning, management, and execution of the email and SMS testing roadmap across all Common Citizen brands.
    • Analyze email journeys and develop strategies to improve performance to support revenue goals.
    • Partner cross-functionally with internal teams to share insights, understand influences on email KPIs, and develop recommendations on how to improve our journeys and campaigns.
    • Set up and execute A/B testing, multivariate testing, usability testing, and more to improve conversion rates, KPIs and personalization.
    • Analyze results and identify successes, failures, trends, and effectively communicate these findings.
    • Build email campaigns within the CRM platform and configure them to align with best practice
    • Test, validate, source, and approve email copy, imagery, target audience prior to deployment.

     

     

    The Experience You Bring and the Skills we Need:

    • 3 years proven track record of driving improvements through email testing, optimization, and personalization.
    • Experience designing and executing email trigger programs to drive acquisition, retention, and conversion.
    • Experience working with email marketing tools.
    • Experience writing effective and actionable copy.
    • Experience with optimizing email customer journey touchpoints through test and learns.
    • Proficiency in marketing analytic tools including but not limited to Google Analytics, and BI tools.
    • Strong attention to detail, outstanding organizational skills, and ability to work well cross-functionally.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work both individually and in a team environment – strong ability to articulate and document learnings.
    • Problem solving skills.
    • This is a dynamic team, and as such daily tasks may vary, resulting in a fast paced and lively work environment.

     

    Physical Requirements

    • Regularly required to sit for long periods of time.
    • Use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
    • Reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
    • Must be able to stand for the duration of the shift.
    • Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
    • Comfortable working in a greenhouse environment (tolerance of heat & humidity).
