  • Summary Our Business Data Analysts play a pivotal role at Columbia Distributing and are key to the success of the Optimization Team. They will wear many hats, and working in a fast-paced environment.   This position can be based in Kent, WA or Wilsonville, OR.   Primary Responsibilities * Develop and deploy multiple dashboards with key business insights * Ad-hoc report generation to support multiple business teams * Gather and interpret existing or new datasets * Use applicable forms of data analysis to solve various business problems * Communicate analytical insights from reports, dashboard, or analysis to support planning measures * Kaizen/Project support as needed for data mining and/or interpretation * Serving as the technical point-of-contact for supported systems and assists subject matter experts with ensuring data integrity, testing of system changes, support of report generation and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities * Analyze business processes for inefficiencies/inadequacies, and offer recommendations for improvement * Providing continuous communication of the practical implications of business decisions, issues and plans to business and project teams * Proficient in Columbia Distributing's business processes and applications * Continuously test applications and/or software * Complete all other tasks or projects as assigned * Demonstrate behaviors consistent with those of the company's core values at all times   Key Competencies * Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks and meet deadlines * Excellent oral and written communication skills * Effective organizational and time management skills * Ability to develop strong relationships with internal and external customers * High attention to detail with an analytical mindset * Strong understanding of descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics * Strong proficiency in the data-modeling process * Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, as well as SharePoint * Strong proficiency with Power BI or Tableau * Strong proficiency in Excel, SQL, and Python or R   People Management None   Work Environment Work indoors in a sedentary office setting; occasional warehouse or external work required.   Physical Demands * Lift/carry 20 lbs. repetitively and up to 20 lbs. * Bend/stoop/crouch/squat/use arms/wrists/hands/grasp * Climb stairs Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Typical working hours are Monday -- Friday, between 8:00am and 4:00pm.   Travel Local travel only   Required Education and Experience * High school diploma or GED required * Minimum of 18 years of age Preferred Education and Experience * Minimum 3 years of relevant experience Compensation   * Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and specific location. * Employees (and their families) are eligible for medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance.
