CAT Scan Technologist jobs in North Carolina
CAT Scan Technologist obtains patient history, explains standard procedures, and answers patient questions. Produces computerized tomographic scanner radiographs of specific areas as required by the departmental procedures. Being a CAT Scan Technologist performs obstetric and gynecological scans, ultrasound techniques and examinations, abdominal scans, retroperitoneal scans, and radiation therapy localization. Requires a high school diploma. Additionally, CAT Scan Technologist requires completion of radiologic technology training and American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) registration. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. CAT Scan Technologist's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Perform Computed Tomography (CT) and CT guided interventional procedures under the direction of a qualified physician
Provide patient and family education
Operate equipment safely
Complete department documentation
Maintain all equipment to be clean and operational
Maintains adequate supply inventory for performing examinations
Job Requirements:
Education: Trade School Graduate - Radiologic Technology
License/Certifications: ARRT or CNMT required.
