Job Description:

As a CAD Technician, you will play a crucial role in our design and production processes. Your responsibilities will include:

• Creating detailed drawings and models from architectural plans.
• Developing concept drawings for design approval purposes based on initial sketches.
• Reviewing and revising drawings based on feedback from team members or clients.
• Ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications and industry standards.
• Maintaining organized files and documentation of all CAD drawings.
• Conducting site visits to gather data and measurements for design projects.

Responsibilities:

In this role, you will be expected to:

• Generate detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings and models using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and/or Sketchup.
• Program and operate CNC machinery to produce high-quality wood components accurately and efficiently.
• Create Internal Shop Drawings and collaborate with the production team to ensure accurate execution of plans into actual products.
• Work closely with engineers and designers to develop mechanical designs and schematics.
• Assist in the preparation of construction documents, including plans, sections, and elevations.
• Ensure quality control at every phase of construction.
• Maintain accurate documentation of CNC programs, tooling setups, and production processes.

Qualifications:
We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:

• Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Sketchup.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and techniques.
• Experience with 2D drafting and design.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to troubleshoot and optimize CNC programs and machining processes.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Dependable transportation.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Physical stamina and the ability to perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Formal CAD training preferred, either through college or a technical institution.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
