CAD Drafter utilizes computer-aided design (CAD) software and other techniques, standards, and tools to prepare technical drawings. Prepares computer-aided design (CAD) drafts, drawings, and schematics derived from a variety of specifications, layouts, blueprints, and sketches. Being a CAD Drafter maintains deadlines, goals, and production standards set by the department. Coordinates and consults with engineers or designers to complete projects. Additionally, CAD Drafter transforms initial rough product designs into working documents using CAD software. Collaborates with design originators to resolve discrepancies between original drawings and final CAD designs. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The CAD Drafter work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. To be a CAD Drafter typically requires 0-2 years of related experience. We have an immediate full-time in-person position available for a CAD Drafter to assist in the design of building and industrial projects. Duties for the position generally include:
The position requires at least 2 years of direct CAD job experience or Certification in Computer Aided Drafting from an accredited institution. Qualifications include a strong working knowledge of Revit® software, preferably Revit® Structure, and experience in the use of AutoCAD® drafting software. An Associate’s Degree in Engineering Technology and/or attendance at Revit® and AutoCAD® training seminars preferred and not required.
The expected compensation for this position is $21.00 to $28.00 per hour not including possible signing bonus and annual profit sharing.
