Being a CAD Drafter maintains deadlines, goals, and production standards set by the department. Coordinates and consults with engineers or designers to complete projects. Additionally, CAD Drafter transforms initial rough product designs into working documents using CAD software. Collaborates with design originators to resolve discrepancies between original drawings and final CAD designs. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The CAD Drafter work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. To be a CAD Drafter typically requires 0-2 years of related experience.     Create technical drawings & use CAD programs

    Work cross functionally with structural engineers, contractors and architects to effectively design drawings of buildings

    Construct technical drawings of all interior spaces which includes doors, staircases, walls, etc.

    Qualifications of the CAD Drafter:

    Experience using CAD or BIM programs

    Knowledge of federal, state & local building codes

    Prior experience working in engineering/construction industry drafting floor plans, interior spaces (walls, staircases, doors, etc)

    Compensation of the CAD Drafter:

    Up to $25/hr based on years of experience
