VulcanForms Inc. seeks an Electrical CAD Drafter for our Devens, MA location.

Job Purpose

As the Electrical CAD Drafter at VulcanForms Inc., Devens, MA, you will be responsible for generating detailed schematics of electrical enclosures, cable drawings, and P&ID related to the design and build of sizeable industrial-scale metal 3D printers. VulcanForms Inc. is a manufacturer of complex, high value engineered components in serial production at the world's most powerful additive foundry. We are looking to transition our Electrical Cable packages from AutoCAD Electrical to SolidWorks Electrical.

Key Accountabilities

• Generate drawings for custom cable assemblies.

• Revise existing drawings and prepare drawings of basic components using redlines provided by Engineering
• Manage and maintain the SolidWorks Electrical libraries and standards.
• Generate schematics for high and low-voltage electrical enclosures.

• Generate P&ID drawings for sensors, pneumatics, and various process components.
• Support Engineering with the implementation of new features.
• Assist in managing BOMs related to electrical components.

• Understand and follow departmental processes and procedures; learn and follow company drafting standards and procedures

Qualifications

• 3 years of drafting electrical/P&ID CAD experience
• Experience with designing cable assemblies/harnesses
• Experience with a document control system
• High level of efficiency in SolidWorks Electrical CAD software 

• Familiarity and ability to incorporate applicable standards and codes
  
  

Preferred

• Experience in AutoCAD Electrical CAD software 
• Strong sense of ownership and organization
• Team player with excellent communication skills
• Excited about taking on new challenges in the metal additive manufacturing industry and working in a fast-paced startup environment  
• Self-motivated, hands-on, with a practical mindset, and capable of setting and reaching ambitious goals
