Being a CAD Drafter maintains deadlines, goals, and production standards set by the department. Coordinates and consults with engineers or designers to complete projects. Additionally, CAD Drafter transforms initial rough product designs into working documents using CAD software. Collaborates with design originators to resolve discrepancies between original drawings and final CAD designs. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The CAD Drafter work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. To be a CAD Drafter typically requires 0-2 years of related experience. Job Purpose
As the Electrical CAD Drafter at VulcanForms Inc., Devens, MA, you will be responsible for generating detailed schematics of electrical enclosures, cable drawings, and P&ID related to the design and build of sizeable industrial-scale metal 3D printers. VulcanForms Inc. is a manufacturer of complex, high value engineered components in serial production at the world's most powerful additive foundry. We are looking to transition our Electrical Cable packages from AutoCAD Electrical to SolidWorks Electrical.
