Pharmacy Buyer - Pharmacy - Variable - FT

  • Maintains inventory of drugs and supplies and places orders with suppliers within a context of cost control and usage.
    Job Description:
    • Coordinates the procurement process and manages inventory stock levels and supplies.
    • Identifies and Responds to drug shortages and recalls.
    • Maintains department inventory and data related to drug costs in an organized and cost-efficient manner.
    • Participates as a member of the team to achieve business goals, quality outcomes and customer satisfaction.
    • Practices within legal, ethical and professional boundaries.
    Required Qualifications:
    Education: High school diploma or GED.
    Licensure: Registered Pharmacy Technician in the state of Mississippi and Certified as a CphT by successful completion of the PTCB or ExCPT exam.
    Experience: Two (2) years of experience in a hospital pharmacy.
    Preferred Qualifications:
    Education: Associate Degree in Business or related field.
