Introduction:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Barback to join our team at our busy restaurant. The Barback will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the bar, liquor rooms and beer and wine cooler, including setting and clearing the bar, washing glassware, and ensuring that all areas are well-stocked and presentable at all times. The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Set and stock the bar on as needed basis, lift up to 50lbs, put new alcohol stock away in a neat and organized manner
Wash glassware and clean equipment as needed
Stock supplies, such as linens, napkins, and glassware
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including sweeping and mopping floors
Assist bartenders with bringing food orders out, stocking and cleaning as well as greeting guests
Handle customer complaints and concerns with grace and professionalism
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a busser or in a similar role is preferred
Strong work ethic and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds)
Ability to stand for long periods of time
