The UCPath Center is the University of California's shared services center in Riverside, CA. The UCPath Center manages the payroll, benefits, and other human resources transactions for more than 200,000 UC employees working across ten UC campuses, five medical centers, three national labs and more. POSITION SUMMARY
Multiple Openings
Provide support and consultation services for the implementation of PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (HCM) applications for UCPath Center, a centralized hub for human resources, payroll, benefits, and workforce administration for a multi-campus university system. Serve as the lead PeopleSoft HCM functional IT contact within various business workstreams, including providing content expertise, analysis of business practices, processes and problems, and business process best practices. Identify, evaluate and define Peoplesoft solutions, applying advanced business analysis concepts. Develop solutions which involve process design, data and information architecture, and software development. Validate technical solutions built by technical teams. Develop test cases and test scripts, and execute test plans. Document business process improvement efforts. Resolve production support issues. Work closely with UCPath customers.
Requirement: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering management or a related field. Five years of experience in job offered or as a PeopleSoft developer, Software Engineer or a related occupational title. Of the required experience, two (2) years must include technical and functional knowledge of Human Capital Management (HCM) application. Experience with PeopleSoft HCM 9.0 and above. PeopleSoft HCM IT experience including demonstrated knowledge of PeopleSoft HCM IT business processes and procedures. Experience performing PeopleSoft business analyst functions including writing functional design specifications, developing test scripts, managing/updating configuration, implementing best practice solutions and providing ongoing support. Demonstrated knowledge of process and systems requirement documentation standards, including Use Case modeling, User Story creations and narrative description. Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies associated with software design, modification and implementation. Demonstrated experience in software design, modification and implementation. Experience working with end users in a production support environment. Experience using SQL, PS Query, Toad, and SQL Developer to perform analysis. Experience with functional and technical design documentation. Experience with defect management.
