As a Business Banking (BB)  Lending Product Internal Controls Vice President, you'll be responsible for leading and building out an enhanced control framework which supports a continuous and integrated approach to risk assessment. Additionally, you will ensure the team assists in top down risk analysis, real time control issue detection, escalation, root cause analysis and remediation.

This role will be responsible for supporting several key functions within the BB Lending Product Organization, including but not limited to the following domains: Fair Lending Data Delivery, Fair Lending Annual Risk Assessment, Dodd  Frank, Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA), Regulation B.  As such, technical skills are a plus.

Job Responsibilities:

• Create a proactive risk and control culture that leverages proven evaluation strategies and sound change management protocols
• Collaborate with core product team and provide dedicated support for the end-to-end management of operational risks within the Business Banking Lending Organization and its support functions including:
• Risk identification and dimensioning 
• Control design, implementation, and execution. 
• Control gaps/break detection and resolutions
• End-to-end continuous assessment of the operational risk environment to reduce financial loss, regulatory exposure, and reputational risk
• Process enhancement recommendations
• Engage with colleagues across the firm, business, operations management, legal, compliance, risk, audit, regulators and technology control functions
• Collaborate with technology partners to ensure technical controls supporting systemic processes are designed and working effectively.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• 7 years of financial service experience in controls, audit, quality assurance, risk management, or compliance preferred
• Proficient knowledge of control and risk management concepts with the ability to design, create, and evaluate a Risk & Control Self-Assessment in conjunction with business partners
• Problem solving / Analytical skills – solid critical thinking, attention to detail; able to synthesize large amounts of data and formulate appropriate conclusions.
• Ability to make subjective and informed decisions based upon output, influence stakeholders and justify decision making
• Ability to understand root cause and identify control gaps and weaknesses. Develop timely and sustainable controls. 
• Work autonomously to effect change - flexible, adaptable to shifting priorities; manages competing priorities to achieve the most effective result and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) as well as Jira and Confluence

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skill

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred, but not required
• Business knowledge – ability to understand the business / knowledge of regulation surrounding business
• Implementation skills - Writing Issues, Action Plans, Procedures,  Change Management etc.
