Job Description

The main functions of this positions are:  Oversees the testing and evaluation of electro-optical devices; Optimizes visual test equipment/methods such as a scanning electron microscope, FTIR, and other analytical tools for defect analysis.  Works with R&D and Manufacturing Engineering for defect analysis, new product development and process improvement.  Works in cross functional team setting to minimize or eliminate quality and delivery problems.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance
• BS in Engineering or equivalent experience with critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• 3  years technical experience or academic research
• Proficiency in using optical microscopes, SEM, FTIR equipment.
• Experience with various forms of electrical testing and visual inspection including automated vision systems
• Effective communication and documentation skills
• Comfortable with multitasking
• Must possess basic MS Office skills; Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint…

Preferred Skills:

• Six Sigma certification
• Experience writing complex MS Access queries
• Proficiency with statistical analysis software; Minitab, JMP, SAS…
• Ability to collaborate with all facets of the Night Vision organization
• Comfortable with self-initiating business and professional improvements
• Ability to support the organizational culture and build morale
