    Job Summary

    The Sr. Director, Business Analysis will set the strategy and lead capabilities within the business analyst function to enable high quality, clear documentation of business problems or opportunities and of the desired or recommended solution. Responsible for building a team mission and vision with clear, measurable expectations and objectives that support the company and channel strategy. Fosters a culture of recognizable desire to do what's best for our customers and relentless effort to deliver quality product on time. Additionally, this role serves to enable rapid progress toward milestones and roadmap deliverables through the adoption of Lean and Agile principles and advocating for a collective understanding of impacts to our customers while incrementally delivering quality enhancements. Directs and guides a team of analysts and cross functional team members in the operational, financial, and strategic analysis of new and existing business opportunities and enhancements. Additionally, collaborates across channels and up/downstream functions to ensure opportunities are identified, market demand validated, priorities are clear, solutions are built and well tested, teams are ready to use the solutions and deliverables are scalable for future known and unknown potentials.

    The Senior Director, Business Analysis works in close partnership with the Product Owners to represent the needs of the various functional areas of a company and is accountable for customer centric analyses to support strategies and business needs, overall quality of business and functional requirements, and delivery of the solution.

    Responsibilities
    • Review and assess incoming opportunities against the strategic objectives set by the leadership team. This includes but is not limited to key areas of focus such as increase base penetration, accelerate fiber expansion, increase year over year revenue, improve operational efficiency, and improve Customer Experience (NPS scores)
    • Partner closely with CTIO team and cross functional business planning teams to shape the product strategy, define and develop the vision, create a differentiated value proposition, and identify high-value growth scenarios that provide a catalyst for growth.
    • Set the methods and standards for eliciting requirements, defining standards and quality targets while managing multiple stakeholder perspectives and expectations.
    • Align with Business and Product Owners on the key performance indicators (KPI) for various business verticals and portfolios, and report on them through various information radiators (scorecards, dashboards, newsletters, ... etc.)
    • Support Business and Product Owners to build their Investment Justification (Business Case) for various product development projects and to track the post-launch benefit realized to measure the ROI attainment for every product development project.
    • Drive best practices for Benefit Management at various stages of the product development lifecycle to ensure benefit planning, analysis, buildup, enablement and realization.
    • Partner with the CTIO team and other functional teams to define the product development Capacity Management model. This includes tracking on bandwidth and capacity utilization through quarterly planning, prioritization, and impact/tradeoff analysis.
    • Partner with the CTIO team and other functional teams to estimate the Level Of Effort (LOE) for each product development project which supports the investment justification and capacity planning processes.
    • Coach and lead the business analysis team, determining the right approach for the team to take while evaluating impacts to the customer experience through the life of an initiative or program.
    • Act as a recognized expert, continuously reflecting and challenging the team to think differently while creating an environment for success.
    • Manage stakeholder relationships, establishing and meeting of stakeholder objectives up to and including Executive level.
    • Provide guidance and feedback on how to improve the quality of output from the business analysis team and ensure that changes implemented result in a positive customer experience.
    • Provides guidance and coaching on tools to use to support the product development process and portfolio management (Clarity PPM, Jira, Power BI)
    Qualifications
    • 15 years experience in the areas of Business Analysis, Portfolio Management, or Product Management preferably in telecommunications
    • Expert in working in an Agile environment (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, Tribes/Squads)
    • Expert knowledge of business analysis tasks like analysis and documentation of business requirements and coordination of development efforts, maintaining knowledge of current tools, technology, and methodologies, executing data collection and interpretation, and providing analytical customer insights and advice
    • Management and leadership of a team of 10 Sr business analysts
    • Extensive experience of planning and prioritization of demand to support the organization
    • Excellent communication skills, knowing how to deliver effective and engaging presentations at Executive level
    • Proven experience of developing a team of Business Analysts working across different areas such as resource management, succession planning and personal development
    • Analytical mindset and ability to synthesize complex information, connect ideas with data and present in digestible, easy to understand format
    • Ability to lead adaptively through complex and ambiguous problems and situations
    • Ability to act as a change agent and challenge the status quo; drive transformational change, sponsor change initiatives, and enable others to innovate
    • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment and effectively manage and meet multiple, simultaneous deadlines with minimum assistance
