Business Systems Analysis Director directs all aspects of an organization's business systems. Plans and implements technological service strategies within a shared services environment to support business and user needs. Being a Business Systems Analysis Director acts as major liaison with other departments to identify the business system meets the enterprise's needs. Analyzes trends and uses complex data modeling to improve business performance. Additionally, Business Systems Analysis Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Business Systems Analysis Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Business Systems Analysis Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Strategic Business Systems (SBS) is hiring a System Administrator to support a customer at John C. Stennis Space Center. An active DoD Top Secret clearance is required. Limited travel may be required.Required Skills:
- Extensive knowledge and experience of Linux operating systems (RHEL or SLES), workload management systems, parallel file systems, networking and security.
- Red Hat and Red Hat Clustering
Preferred Skills:- CompTIA Linux and Security
- Working knowledge of High Performance Computing (HPC), specifically SGI 8600 systems.
- Provisioning using HPE's Cluster Management Utility tool highly desired
- Experience with MPI software and compilers (Intel, OpenMPI and/or MPICH)
- Experience using Job Schedulers such as LSF, PBS Pro, SunGrid Engine, Moab, Torque
Responsibilities:- Provide on-going performance analysis and performance tuning for Customer’s designated and implemented HPC Cluster in Customer’s designated and implemented environment (collectively, the “HPC Cluster”);
- Identify, troubleshoot, and repair software problems impacting the HPC Cluster;
- Install Customer’s designated and properly licensed software patches and upgrade software/firmware as mutually agreed;
- Respond to Customer’s designated software trouble tickets and software problems identified by Customer’s designated system administrators and users;
- Ability to lead and work effectively in a team environment to investigate and resolve complex problems.
- Extensive knowledge and experience of Linux operating systems (RHEL or SLES), workload management systems, parallel file systems, networking and security.
- Must have direct experience and demonstrated proficiency with multiple programming and scripting languages (e.g. Perl, Python, C, Fortran, etc.)
- Ability to maintain system software, utilizing debugging tools for problem isolation; will perform software builds, software upgrades and patch installation as needed
- Possess the organizational and analytical skills needed to effectively isolate both hardware and software problems and drive solutions through to conclusion
- Excellent interpersonal, customer relations and problem management skills, with the ability to stay calm and professional under pressure while working to strict deadlines
- Very good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Experience with project planning and management, process management and team or project leadership
- Ability to clearly document processes and procedures with a focus toward mentoring and sharing knowledge
