  • Turner Industries Group is looking for a Business Systems Analyst to support our Fabrication Division. The Business Systems Analyst will be a member of our Information Technology team and will work at our fabrication office in Baton Rouge, LA.

    The Fabrication Business Systems Analyst is responsible for the support and development of ERP and software business process solutions. Responsibilities include learning and understanding business processes that drive Fabrication process including but not limited to: Sales Orders, Work Orders, MRP, Inventory, Billing, cost accounting, AP, Plant Maintenance, and reporting. Successful candidates will demonstrate experience identifying and interpreting data that is generated by business processes, detailing, developing and deploying solutions to the enterprise. The Fabrication Business Systems Analyst will work closely with Operations personnel, clients, and other Analysts to develop business requirements and processes necessary to support a fast-paced engineer to order fabrication process and will also work closely with application developers to develop and maintain data integrity and new processes.

    Responsibilities:

    As a Fabrication Business Systems Analyst with Turner, the candidate will be responsible for supporting Fabrication Division processes across multiple locations in Texas and Louisiana.

    Job Description:

    • Develops and maintains an understanding of the Fabrication Lifecycle including: Procurement, Inventory, Material Control, Shop Processes, Quality Control, Document Imaging, Billing, AR, AP, Custom Applications, and Reporting
    • Work with users to solve data and process issues
    • Work with users, management, and technical resources to design and specify application development and improvements
    • Assumes client facing responsibilities for Sales support, Documentation, Reporting, and project support activities
    • Demonstrates ability to support a 24/7 multi-site work environment
    • Experience with JD Edwards/Oracle EnterpriseOne 9.0 or greater applications preferred
    • Experience with reporting tools such as Cognos, ReportsNow/DAS, and Excel is desirable

    Functional Requirements:

      • Reviews and edits requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations related to proposed solution

      • Leads and executes testing efforts including development and maintenance of test scripts
      • Ensures issues are identified, tracked, reported on and resolved in a timely manner

      • Documents and communicates needed changes to development team

      • Assists in enforcement of project deadlines and schedules
      • Takes input from supervisor and appropriately and accurately applies comments/feedback

      • Accurately employs IT methodology and documentation tools
