    Organizational Relationships:         Reports to Business Systems Manager

    Supervisory Responsibilities:           N/A

    General Function:                             This role is responsible for resolving day to day issues that impact the ability to effectively use our core banking systems, as well as, maintenance, support and enhancements of core banking systems hardware and software.

    Position Functions:

    • Field incoming problem tickets and help desk calls from end users to resolve day to day issues within the core banking systems hardware and software.
    • Provide level one technical support of automated processes.
    • Provide level two technical support for core banking systems hardware and software and responds to incidents as appropriate.
    • Act as the technical liaison between co-workers, management, and vendors.
    • Evaluate change requests for core banking platform, loan origination systems, and other systems as assigned.
    • Monitor system performance and work with application vendors to report and resolve system issues. Collect data to identify root cause of problems. Take corrective action for all errors by following, creating or updating documented procedures.
    • Create and maintain documentation as it relates to system configuration, mapping, processes, service records, Disaster Recovery procedures, and other critical documentation.
    • Coordinate, communicate, test, support and implement releases, upgrades, patches, features and enhancements to core banking systems. This includes impact analysis, regression testing, and change management. 
    • Assist other IT departments in incident management, requests, initiatives and projects related to Core solutions
    • Involved in the evaluation, testing, planning and implementation of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery for the organizations core banking solutions.
    • Promote and maintain a positive work atmosphere by communicating in a manner consistent with professional standards. Work efficiently with members, co-workers, management, and vendors.
    • Participate in an after-hours on-call rotation to support business critical core banking systems, including monitoring critical nightly processing, and resolving any failures in a timely manner. 
    • Serve as a backup to the Business Systems Administrator(s) and Business Systems Analyst(s) team members.

    Position Requirements:

    • Superior customer service skills with the ability to understand staff needs and translate complex technical jargon at the appropriate technical level with individual staff. 
    • Proven ability to operate effectively in a fast paced environment.
    • Proven ability to triage and prioritize multiple support issues.
    • Ability to work effectively in teams with fellow employees possessing varying degrees of technical understanding.
    • Ability to work with moderate supervision.
    • Ability to work with fellow employees in various departments to develop workflows.
    • Ability to work with 3rd party vendors to support and maintain core banking servers and applications.
    • Intermediate experience with fault tolerant systems.
    • Intermediate experience with TCP/IP networking.
    • Intermediate programming or scripting experience.
    • Intermediate experience with supporting MS Windows desktop/server operating systems.
    • Intermediate experience with DNS and DHCP.
    • Intermediate experience with backup/replication technologies.
    • Intermediate experience with credit union or banking core software.
    • Intermediate experience with hierarchical and relational databases.
    • Maintain strict confidentiality with member data.
    • Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
    • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple issues in a fast paced work environment.

    Required Education and Experience

    • 2-year degree or equivalent experience.
    • Previous customer support experience.
    • Previous server support experience.
    • Previous networking experience.
    • Previous credit union or banking core software experience.
    • Experience with Finastra LaserPro, CreditQuest, or MortgageBot products preferred.
    • Experience with Jack Henry Symitar core system preferred.
    • Experience with Synergy document management system preferred.
    • Experience with MeridianLink (LoansPQ & XpressAccounts) preferred.
    • Experience with OpCon Automation Platform‎ preferred.
