What You'll Contribute The incumbent will be involved with projects that impact the department from a data integrity perspective and participate as a subject matter expert in workgroups, User Acceptance Testing for modifications that require a higher technical knowledge of a particular system function, as well as validation of ad hoc research and/or adjustments to account records as needed. Work closely with each business area and third-party partnerships to understand its needs and challenges, identify opportunities for collaboration, and translate the business’s needs and opportunities into well-defined business requirements for systems projects or solutions to existing issues. Demonstrate capability to support multiple projects of medium to high complexity, interact with business management – internally and externally – and provide process/technology guidance to achieve overall success. Evaluate issues and assess risk, elevate issues to management, and identify corrective action for impacted systems and/or processes. The incumbent must be solution oriented and will work with multiple business users and IT groups within the company and will also work closely with third-party vendors from a business user and technical perspective. When demands are that of a non-traditional schedule, incumbent may be required to work night or weekend hours. What You'll Do Operational Support: Prepares procedures for user community where applicable based on system design changes and identification of deficiencies. Supports the Post Default team with system related updates, including but not limited to, letter generation, memo updates, placement and payment reconciliations and validations, media delivery and all third-party partnership systems and data related interfaces. For identified system problems, works with the business to assess impact so issues are addressed in the correct priority by IT. Serves as a resource to the user community regarding servicing systems issues and account resolution. Serves as a technical point of contact for external partnerships. Supports management as a resource to the IT community regarding individual data issues to facilitate account correction and/or development design. Prepares issue summaries and recommendations to operational areas when servicing deficiencies or training issues are identified. Analyzes and resolve loan discrepancies or processing issues on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis from established or ad hoc audit reports to eliminate or minimize operational deficiencies. Analyzes and resolve loan issues, as frequently as daily, when performing account maintenance, resolving processing issues, and/or answering user questions related to servicing, loan program requirements, or system functionality. Performs research at a borrower account level using various systems. Project Support: Participates in work groups to support the technical analysis of implementing new and pending system and operational requests and/or recovery strategy changes. Identifies internal and external customer needs/requests and translate to system enhancements. Ensures that all operational and/or system areas affected by projects are apprised and involved in design, training and implementation. Maintains project timelines and schedules of events and ensure that all internal/external due dates and deliverables are met. Assists with development, implementation, and evaluation of department efforts to reduce unit costs. Organizes work based on risk when possible and elevate issues to management. Assists with developing solutions to account issues to minimize risk and ensure compliance with loan program rules, regulations and laws impacting recovery strategies. When applicable, performs user acceptance testing and/or validation when resolving system issues, implementing new projects, and/or onboarding new third-party partnerships. Prepares and disseminates information to users identified as training opportunities associated with system design, operational and/or recovery strategy changes. Data Support: Ability to gather and analyze raw data for reporting, operational workflow guidance, validations or reconciliations. Ability to leverage various data extracts and subsystems to execute SAS and/or SQL reports to produce statistical or borrower data, as needed. Prepares daily, weekly and monthly reports of work performed, trending, and issues as identified to management. Formats, validates and transmits reports and data files between systems as well as internal and external counterparts. What you have Minimum education, skills and experience required. Bachelor’s Degree required with area of study related to Business, Finance, or IT desired. Equivalent experience above the required minimum may substitute for education requirement. 1 years of professional experience working with clients/vendors in the student loan and/or related environment. 1 years of systems, application, and/or project support experience required, ideally with ArtivaRM, Artiva Studio, FDR, OpSys, Encore, and MFT. Experience working with external customers/clients to provide direction, support, and receive input for potential enhancements/changes. Experience compiling, analyzing, and researching data to make effective recommendations and/or decisions while utilizing SAS and/or SQL logic along with a functional knowledge of the EDW structure. Experience working in workgroups/project teams to create new enhancements or re-work existing processes in order to achieve maximum results. Demonstrated ability to effectively coordinate and execute special projects. Efficient in utilizing the basic software applications to the fullest degree, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Effective and professional written and verbal communications skills. Strong and effective ability to resolve issues and address conflict. Working and practical knowledge of key servicing systems such as FDR, OPSYS, and Encore. Preferred education, skills, and experience. Experience with cost/benefit analysis and justifications. Experience with system user acceptance test plan development and execution. Experience with Artiva Workstation and/or Artiva Studio. Working and practical knowledge of Post Default Operations, Loan Sales and/or Recovery business models, strategies, and concepts.
