What You'll Do

As the process engineer, you will provide engineered designs of chemical manufacturing facilities. You will be responsible for working with business units and stakeholders to develop project scopes and design requirements. Other duties include:

• Provide equipment specifications and work with Engineering teams to develop project cost estimates.
• Provide commissioning support for projects
• Identify, evaluate, and execute process and safety related improvement/up-grade projects.
• Supervise and direct craft labor and contractors for fabrication, installation, and construction of assigned projects.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing facilities.
• Deliver project success criteria within scope and within or under budget and schedule
• Generate engineering designs (equipment layout, P&IDs, machine, piping, general)
• Specify and evaluate requirements for process materials and equipment
• Ensure compliance with applicable company engineering and design standards for the manufacture of explosives and hazardous materials as well as compliance with applicable HSE rules, regulations, and standards
• Ensure equipment and process design and construction meets customers' requirements, including project development of scoping processes and technical needs specifications
• Ensure the overall project scope of work is within budget and schedule

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering
• 5 years demonstrated skill in an industrial/manufacturing environment trouble shooting chemical processes
• Basic knowledge of machinery, hydraulic & pneumatic systems, and infrastructure throughout a plant environment
• Basic knowledge of materials and production processes, machinery and infrastructure
• 1 years AutoCAD experience is desirable. Must be able to read and interpret P&ID, PFD and general arrangement drawings
• Experience with regulatory and code compliance relating to engineering design and construction preferred
• Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and team player
