We are looking for a Principal Business Process Consultant to join our team in Overland Park, KS. The Principal Business Process Consultant is responsible for the creation of repeatable technology playbooks, process and procedure definition, and working with technical teams to determine dependencies and approach, particularly in the areas of M&A within the Information Technology Services (ITS) organization.
About You - experience, education, skills, and accomplishments
- Minimum 5-10 years of experience in the technology industry, ideally in the M&A and divestiture space
- At least 5 years of experience managing technology merger, acquisition and divestiture projects including application integration, data migration, hardware distribution, technology communication and TSAs
- Bachelors degree in buss, technology, finance, or related field, or equivalent relevant years of experience

- An MBA
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- ITIL certification
- Experience in a business analysis/analytics role, or a similar role responsible for developing business and technical requirements
- Experience developing playbooks for complex projects; experience developing M&A/divestiture playbooks a plus
- Experience managing both internal and outsourced IT resources as well as vendors
- Ability to obtain the respect of senior business and technical leaders, coordinate global teams and handle issues and problems effectively in a timely manner
- Working knowledge of PowerBI and the full Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel Pivot Tables and PowerPoint
- Experience with financial analysis
What will you be doing in this role?
- Working closely with a small team within ITS and a cross-functional team across Clarivate to support successful mergers, acquisitions and divestitures from a technology perspective.
- Contributing to the implementation of improvements in standard solutions and processes, and playbook documentation
- Collaborating with technical leaders to determine needed actions and overall integration/separation plans
- Supporting due diligence investigation and reporting - working on confidential projects to understand the technology implications of various deal scenarios, conducting preplanning and financial analysis based on findings
- Supporting the start of development of individual project plans prior to hand-off to ITS project manager. Resource to project manager throughout acquisition/divestiture to support risk and issue mitigation.
- Partnering closely with the technology team to understand their plans and initiatives, including definition of business impact and technical dependencies
- Forging partnerships across the ITS organization to deliver strategic business results
- Working collaboratively with business stakeholders to align on value driven outcomes and ensure open communication related to technology programs and projects
- Supporting financial analysis of technology impacts of M&A/Divestiture work
- Developing Transition Services Agreements for divestitures
- Supporting analysis for synergy targets for acquisitions
Hours of Work
- Full time, permanent
- Hybrid working schedule of 2-3 days/week on-site.
- Must live in a commutable distance to our Overland Park, KS office
