Business Process Specialist researches, analyzes, and recommends changes to an organization's business processes to improve operational efficiencies, quality, service, and profitability. Collects and studies operational and performance data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. Being a Business Process Specialist develops process documentation and project plans. Creates flowcharts, process maps, and diagrams. Additionally, Business Process Specialist supports cross-functional activities and working sessions during projects' design and implementation phases. Designs and prepares documentation, training materials, and communications supporting new processes. May deliver training to impacted business units. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Business Process Specialist work is highly independent. May assume a team lead role for the work group. A specialist on complex technical and business matters.     Responsibilities

     

    Analyze technical documents to determine processing steps.

    Perform data and document processing in accordance with documented procedures.

    Troubleshoot and correct issues with processed data and documents, determine root causes and recommend corrective courses of action.

    Maintain customer and code table information in various systems.

    Document issues encountered during processing and participate in finding effective / innovative solutions Provide individual coaching and/or small group instruction to business end users on processes, or to solve process-related problems.

    Test various systems.

    Qualifications

     

    • Bachelors degree 3 yrs transaction processing 2 yrs training & documentation experience or related experience such as document processing / data entry / billing processing
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, intermediate to advanced Microsoft Word and Excel skills Data entry/data processing / transaction processing
    • Application support and testing High level of technical aptitude
    • Strong analytical / problem-solving skills / troubleshooting abilities Excellent communication skills, oral and written; technical writing experience helpful Multi-tasking skills / Prioritization skills / Organizational skills / Interpersonal Skills

    The hiring range for this position is $63,700 to $91,700 USD. The final salary offer will vary based on geographic location, individual education, skills, and experience. The position is eligible to participate in FM Global’s comprehensive Total Rewards program that includes an incentive plan, generous health and well-being programs, a 401(k) and pension plan, career development opportunities, tuition reimbursement, flexible work, time off allowances and much more.
