Business Process Optimization Manager manages teams that study and develop optimization changes to an organization's business processes to improve operational efficiencies, quality, service, and profitability. Conducts research on best practices and industry trends for the business. Being a Business Process Optimization Manager oversees the in-depth analysis of existing workflows. Utilizes flowcharts and process maps to define existing processes and identify areas needing improvement. Additionally, Business Process Optimization Manager engages and organizes subject matter experts and cross-functional groups to collect inputs. Implements the tools required to collect and measure relevant data, identify key performance indicators (KPI), and produce a data-driven analysis of critical functions. Introduces new business processes to the organization and produces documentation, tools, and training to support adoption. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Business Process Optimization Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Business Process Optimization Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Audio/Visual (AV) Technician

    Lead and perform all aspects of support for audiovisual solutions, to include set up, breakdown, troubleshooting and on-site support during events. Provides excellent customer service and timely response to issues.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Provide audio/visual troubleshooting and set-up support for client equipment such as microphones, projectors, speakers, etc 
    • Provide on-site audio/visual support to client and external event vendors at functions hosted at client site and possibly off-site for client events 
    • Control the lights, video, and sound of events, such as conferences and meetings, before and after performances, and during intermissions 
    • Provide photography and video recording services 
    • Photo and video editing 
    • Mix and regulate sound inputs and feeds 
    • Compress, digitize, duplicate, and store audio and video data 
    • Perform minor repairs and routine cleaning of audio and video equipment 
    • Perform, assist, and monitor installation, removal, and upgrades of audio/visual equipment 
    • Coordinate procurement of audio/visual equipment 
    • Analyze and maintain data logs for audio/visual activities 
    • Input and track asset information into asset database 
    • Handles operation of all AV equipment for conference center 
    • Maintain conference center equipment checklist 
    • Coordinate equipment repairs with AV vendor 
    • Coordinate scheduling and set up with AV vendor if external AV support is required
    • Checks presentations, in advance and when possible, to ensure compatibility with equipment
    • Maintain inventory levels of all conference center supplies, i.e. projector bulbs, tables, chairs, flip charts, etc 
    • Ensure that conference and storage rooms are clean, neat, and that all requested/scheduled tools are in place and working properly
    • Maintain daily/weekly logs noting all aspects of conference center standards for furniture and furniture configurations (i.e., conference rooms should have the same style chairs within a given room) Straighten and realign furniture between multi-day events (i.e., align chairs, tidy room, etc.) 
    • Check scheduling for next day set up requests 
    • Other duties and special projects as requested 
    • Ensure that conference and storage rooms are clean, neat, and that all requested/scheduled tools are in place and working properly
    • Maintain logs noting all aspects of conference center standards for furniture and furniture configurations (i.e., conference rooms should have the same style chairs within a given room) Straighten and realign furniture between multi-day events (i.e., align chairs, tidy room, etc.)

    • Ability to keep records, files, checklists, performance records, and prepare reports analyzing and summarizing information about the conference center and its usage

    Qualifications

     

    • 3-5 years of Audio Visual support experience in a corporate setting
    • Able to work an alternate shift or weekends if needed
    • Strong understanding of meeting technology: Digital projectors, Smart TVs, Surround Sound Audio, (spelled incorrectly) Laptops/tablets/phones- screen mirroring or projection technology, setting up meetings for skype or video conferencing.
    • Should be a proactive professional with strong organizational, communications and problem solving skills and stays current with industry technology
    • Ability to communicate information and to speak in a clear, coherent and accurate manner 
    • Ability to interact with other employees, vendors, and customers in a socially adept manner; sociable and personable
    • Ability to keep records, files, checklists, performance records, and prepare reports analyzing and summarizing information about the conference center and its usage
