JOB PURPOSE AND IMPACT
The Operations Process Optimization Engineer will provide strategic operational guidance and direction for production and operating processes and be a subject matter authority for assigned specialty matters. In this role, you will oversee and ensure operating processes adhere to standards for safety, quality, operational effectiveness, and financial performance. You will also develop, implement, and maintain processes and programs built to ensure compliance with existing federal, state and local environmental regulations and requirements for operations.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
· Participate in employee and compliance program standards and goals and promote a safety culture through training and education solutions related to operational issues and risks.
· Prepare and execute audits on internal and external operating and regulatory procedures on production safety including strategic and tactical execution in alignment with corporate environment, health and safety, quality and regulatory functions and government regulations.
· Monitor general operations, maintenance of plant equipment and quality management goals to ensure customer, product and quality standard requirements are met within specifications.
· Prepare, administer, and control capital and operating budgets to achieve short- and medium-term financial performance objectives set by the business to ensure accountability for meeting and controlling operating expenses and established targets.
· Identify and review hazards, risks and opportunities on an ongoing and proactive basis and conduct incident investigations to ensure that appropriate follow up actions are being implemented.
· Develop plans and deliver results in a fast-changing business or regulatory environment, while leading and developing a team of experienced professionals and supervisors, coaching, and making decisions related to talent management hiring, performance and disciplinary actions. You will also collaborate with managers and supervisors in your organization to ensure staff selections align with current and future needs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Minimum of five years of related work experience
· Strong scientific and mathematical skills
· Experience leading/supervising a team or individuals
