Business Process Optimization Manager manages teams that study and develop optimization changes to an organization's business processes to improve operational efficiencies, quality, service, and profitability. Conducts research on best practices and industry trends for the business. Being a Business Process Optimization Manager oversees the in-depth analysis of existing workflows. Utilizes flowcharts and process maps to define existing processes and identify areas needing improvement. Additionally, Business Process Optimization Manager engages and organizes subject matter experts and cross-functional groups to collect inputs. Implements the tools required to collect and measure relevant data, identify key performance indicators (KPI), and produce a data-driven analysis of critical functions.     High level summary of job

    The Business Process Steward (BPS) for Finance and Product Costing assists in defining end to end work process and system solutions, executing against strategy, utilizing design principles through collaboration with peers and business and functional stakeholders. Ensures adherence to compliance and regulatory requirements and provides ongoing training, support, and design enhancements for the business. Works under the functional guidance of the Business Process Leader, is a member of a team of Business Process Stewards and Owners. Collaborates with other Business Process Stewards and Owners as well as teammates within IT. Acts as subject matter expert responsible for providing deep functional and SAP user expertise for work processes, applications, data, and products aligned within Finance. Requires conceptual knowledge of theories, practices, and procedures within job discipline.

    Essential functions of the job

    • Leads the process mapping and documentation of all finance-related cost flows including the integrations with other business processes such as OTC, PTP, SCM, PM, as well as associated SAP modules.
    • Design, develop and implement business processes to improve upon product costing methodologies and inventory accuracy.
    • Implement functional configuration improvements as it relates to the design/business process of FICO related workflows within S/4
    • Coordinate with cross-functional team to develop business process requirements and simplify BOM and material requirements for cost transparency.
    • Oversee maintenance and integrity of financial master data.
    • Improve accuracy and integrity of financial data within ERP system through analysis, projects, and reporting.
    • Support initiatives and best practices for business process improvements, data and information stewardship and governance.
    • Facilitates training, mentoring and knowledge transfer across Finance and operations.
    • Partner with the functions to implement automated solutions/improvements to existing processes and reduce manual work.
    • Serve as the Data Steward/SME as part of overall Data Governance Program.
    • Review and authorize SAP security roles for users while adhering to Controls and meeting Segregation of Duty requirements.
    • Provide first line support for users on break/fix issues and work with SAP AMS/IT resources to resolve.
    • Understands the implications of business process transactions and associated financial-related impacts to our business.

    Additional Duties/Responsibilities

    • Serve as the Functional Representative on projects related to Finance to ensure process adherence and/or lead defining the requirements.
    • Participate and partner with operations to improve inventory control, cycle count program, and inventory transactions for production and work order processing.
    • Assist with interim and year-end audits

    Education Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

    Work Experience

    • 5-10 years of progressive accounting experience in a manufacturing environment with heavy focus on cost accounting.
    • 7 or more years of SAP experience.
