What You’ll Do

• Responsible for the development and training of team members, working within the guidelines of Company Policies, to meet the current and future needs of the Company.
• Responsible for quick and timely feedback to Plant Manager on all exceptions regarding productivity, downtime, quality, yield, cost and safety, and managing the correction of areas which are out of acceptable parameters. 
• Conduct bench top formulation work, validate shelf life, assist in R&D plant trials and start-ups to ensure successful product validation and execution.
• Participate in department meetings in the planning process, along with the testing and development of techniques/processes.
• Ensure proper maintenance of Company assets; make recommendations for acquiring necessary items to support business objectives.
• Understands sensory science and how to apply consumer feedback to optimize product formulations.
• Maintain quality assurance protocols within departments.
• Ensure department compliance within Company policies, law, and regulations which include USDA, SSOP and HACCP programs, and all OSHA required safety programs.
• Achieve and improve organizational KPI's.
• Actively pursue strategic and operational objectives provided by the plant manager.
• Ensure operational activities remain on time and within a defined budget.
• Manage and help continually reduce consumer complaints.
• Conduct department budget reviews and report cost plans to Plant Manager.

Who You Are

• • 5-7 years of food manufacturing and operations experience to include 2 years' previous experience in manufacturing operations management required.
  • Bachelor s Degree in Business Management or related field, Food Science, or related scientific field
  • Food Science degree preferred.
  • A passion for natural and Dairy food products
  • Regulatory compliance experience as it relates to FDA, SQF, and FSMA
  • Able to identify and resolve problems independently and with sound judgment
  • Detail oriented, thorough, and dependable
  • Willingness to taste test products and ingredients for quality parameters and with a consumer lens 
  • Effective and professional communication with internal and external contacts
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
