Business Process Optimization Director manages teams that study and develop optimization changes to an organization's business processes to improve operational efficiencies, quality, service, and profitability. Conducts research on best practices and industry trends for the business. Being a Business Process Optimization Director oversees the in-depth analysis of existing workflows. Utilizes flowcharts and process maps to define existing processes and identify areas needing improvement. Additionally, Business Process Optimization Director engages and organizes subject matter experts and cross-functional groups to collect inputs. Implements the tools required to collect and measure relevant data, identify key performance indicators (KPI), and produce a data-driven analysis of critical functions.     Reporting to our Senior Vice-President Business Development, we invite you to lead as Director of Events, championing our strategic vision to leverage events as a cornerstone for client attraction and retention.     Job Summary:

    As a Director of Events, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating all types of events, from intimate gatherings to large-scale seminars, ensuring they are executed seamlessly and leave a lasting impression. You ensure that they are efficiently executed and in alignment with the firm’s overall strategic efforts, and that client service is exceptional.

    As Director of Events at Anderson, you'll lead a dedicated team while collaborating closely with Business Development and Marketing teams to cultivate and strengthen client and prospect relationships.

    Your Responsibilities Include:

    • Crafting an event strategy to reach new customer segments, drawing insights from market research for growth opportunities.
    • Developing an annual event calendar with input from commercial stakeholders, aligning key events with business objectives.
    • Maintaining updated event calendars and sharing information with the marketing team to ensure coherence with overall strategies.
    • Efficiently managing resources, including budgets, personnel, and equipment, to ensure quality educational events without overspending.
    • Overseeing live events as a key contact for speakers, sponsors, and attendees, ensuring flawless execution.
    • Integrating event activities into broader marketing and business development initiatives, fostering synergy.
    • Coordinating logistics for both in-person and virtual events, from venue selection to catering, to ensure seamless execution.
    • Establishing and nurturing relationships with vendors, negotiating contracts and resolving conflicts diplomatically.
    • Liaising with Graphic Design teams for timely delivery of event collateral.
    • Handling event materials preparation and managing webinars using platforms like Zoom and Webex.
    • Coordinating booth logistics for conferences in collaboration with Operations and Marketing teams.
    • Providing on-site support during events and conducting post-event activities for evaluation and future planning.
    • Adapting to unexpected challenges and last-minute changes, demonstrating flexibility and problem-solving skills.
    • Communicating effectively with internal teams, external partners, vendors, and attendees throughout the event planning and execution process.
    • Balancing extensive travel commitments with other responsibilities, requiring effective time management.
    • Leading a dedicated and high performing team, empowering them to unleash their full potential as they spearhead a critical area of our growth initiatives.Your mentorship will empower our team members to thrive and excel in their roles.

    Job Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in a related field; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
    • Minimum of 7 years of event management experience in a similar role.
    • It’s a bonus if you bring experience in legal, estate planning, and tax advisory services.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products is required; experience with webinar technology (Webex, Zoom), internet research, and CRM programs (Salesforce) is preferred.
    • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions and navigate complex situations with confidence.
    • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
    • Strong customer service orientation, with the ability to anticipate needs and provide proactive support to internal and external stakeholders.
    • High energy, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude, with a commitment to delivering exceptional results and representing the firm professionally at all times.
    • Compelling experience in recruiting and developing a high performing team of event specialists
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
    • Flexibility to travel extensively within the USA and manage in-person events 2 to 3 weekends per month
